Mask Passwords on Standees

Use the "Hide Password on Card" toggle so only camera scans can connect, preventing manual password leaks.

Always Use HTTPS Links

Ensure all promotional or menu URLs point to SSL/TLS secured domains (https://) to protect user browsing privacy.

100% Client-Side Privacy

This tool operates entirely in your web browser. No SSIDs, passwords, or URLs are sent to any remote server or logged.

Frequently asked questions

How do Wi-Fi QR codes work?
Wi-Fi QR codes encode your network credentials in the standard WIFI: string format (e.g., WIFI:T:WPA;S:MySSID;P:mypassword;;). When scanned by an iOS or Android camera, the OS automatically offers to connect to that network — no manual typing needed.
What resolution should I use for printing?
For business printing, always use the SVG (infinitely scalable, ideal for professional printers) or the 2048px PNG export. At 300 DPI, a 2048px PNG gives you roughly 17cm × 17cm of crisp output — more than enough for table tents or menu inserts.
Are WPA3 and hidden networks supported?
Yes. Choose WPA/WPA2/WPA3 from the encryption selector — modern devices default to the strongest version supported. For hidden SSIDs, toggle the Hidden Network option.
Is the WhatsApp QR code officially supported?
The WhatsApp link format (wa.me/<number>) is the official API-supported deep link. Scanning the QR opens WhatsApp directly to a chat with your business number, with an optional pre-filled message.
Does my password ever leave my browser?
No. All QR generation happens entirely client-side using the `qrcode` library. Your Wi-Fi password, text content, and any other inputs are never transmitted to any server.
What error correction level should I choose?
For clean digital use (phone screens, PDFs) use M or Q. For physical printed cards or product packaging that might get dirty or partially obscured, choose H (High, 30% recovery) — especially important if you add a logo overlay on the QR code.
